NWS issues coastal flood advisory for Horry, Georgetown and Brunswick counties

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Coastal Flood Advisory at 7:46 p.m. EDT on Oct. 25, 2026. It covers coastal Horry County, South Carolina; coastal Georgetown County, South Carolina; and coastal Brunswick County, North Carolina. The advisory runs until 10 a.m. EDT on Monday, Oct. 26.

The NWS says some roads may become impassable. It advises: “Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.”
The NWS also says to check with local officials for closures, and with lifeguards before entering the ocean.
